Mother’s Day
There is always something to celebrate and this weekend is no exception.
This weekend in the UK we will celebrate Mothering Sunday and this includes those people that look after children that may not be biologically theirs. Motherhood is not an easy task it takes commitment and dedication to take a baby dependent on you for its life to growing into an independent adult that is able to take care of themselves. Fathers do play a role and they will have their day in June. The focus this week is on the role of Mothers. Originally this day was a celebration of being baptised in the church and people in the middle ages returned to the church that they were baptised in. The day was also close to Easter Sunday. This Sunday raise a glass in honour of motherhood and if you little ones are still in your arms or not at school yet give them a special hug and look forward to that first card or “happy Mother’s Day mum” … If you no longer have your Mum with you remember the good times that you shared. It can sometimes be hard those that lost their mother more so on Mother’s Day.
