About Julie
Julie is the founder of At Balance UK, an integrated wellbeing practice dedicated to helping people manage stress, build resilience, and create lasting balance in their lives.
With a background in Psychology, training in Humanistic Counselling, and a long-standing interest in wellbeing and personal development, Julie's work is grounded in the belief that wellbeing is not simply the absence of stress, but the ability to adapt, grow, and reconnect with what matters most.
Drawing on psychological principles, reflective practice, and holistic wellbeing approaches, Julie developed the At Balance Method – a practical framework designed to help individuals better understand themselves, navigate life's challenges, and develop sustainable wellbeing habits.
The At Balance Method is built around four key stages:
Reflect – Developing awareness of thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and the factors influencing wellbeing.
Reset – Identifying practical strategies that support positive change and healthier responses to stress.
Restore – Building resilience through adaptation, recovery, and the development of supportive habits and routines.
Reconnect – Reconnecting with personal values, strengths, purpose, and future possibilities.
At the heart of Julie's approach is the understanding that people are constantly adapting to change. Inspired by psychological theories of growth, awareness, resilience, and personal development, her work encourages individuals to move beyond simply coping and towards creating a more balanced and meaningful life.
Julie is also the author of The Balanced Guide to Natural Wellbeing, a practical guide that explores the connections between mental, emotional, physical, and lifestyle wellbeing. Through consultations, workshops, resources, and wellbeing products, she continues to develop practical tools that empower people to take an active role in their wellbeing journey.
Her mission is simple: to help people develop the awareness, strategies, adaptability, and confidence needed to navigate life's challenges while maintaining balance and wellbeing.
